It must have been a long flight from the US to Yemen with multiple air refueling as they avoided overflying countries airspace as much as possible taking the long route to the target. Luckily the B-2 has a single cot bed, a toilet and even a microwave for meals as one pilot monitors the instruments as the other pilot takes a break.

The Houthi rebels have underground weapons storage facilities, while Russia has above ground weapons storage facilities easily destroyed by Ukrainian propeller driven “Kamikaze” drones flying a short distance across the border.

@Mort_and_Ricky Whiteman AFB, Missouri, is the only operational base for the B-2. It has visited other friendly foreign airbase for a friendly visit, but never flown a military mission out of a foreign airbase.

@CokhaPolak The Northrop Grumman B-21 Raider is the next generation stealth bomber being tested. Initially it will be a manned bomber, but the open architecture of its systems, make it possible to be an AI unmanned bomber in the future.

@mattelgin213 If the B-2 were flown out of Diego Garcia, the UK would have to have been notified about the mission. The B-2 bomber was meant for long range missions. The B-2 have been deployed in bases like Diego Garcia and Hawaii with its ground support crew as a combat exercise in case of a protracted conflict and moving the B-2s to a Forward Operational Base (FOB) for quicker response.

@mattelgin213 The Prince Sultan air base built and funded by Saudis was designated as a USAF air expeditionary base meeting USAF requirement in case of a middle east conflict to receive US fighters. Since Diego Garcia is a joint base, the hangers were built by the US as a FOB.
