It happens all the time! What's kind of scary is at night on the road. You'll be driving down the highway at night when your headlights see a big brown wall in front of your car. As long as you don't panic and swerve and just slow down the tumbleweed just kind of denigrates as you drive through them like fluffy snow with no mass and doesn't damage your car.

@Geeksmithing Try driving home late at night after work tired and going the highway speed limit and you reach a dip in the highway where the wind has blown the tumbleweeds two stories high in the middle of the highway!

@punapeter In an arid dessert climate tumbleweeds needs very little water and drives out most of the other dessert vegetation. The tumbleweeds form of propagation is to die and form a ball and let the wind blow them around and spreading its seeds. With Global Warming, the tumbleweeds are spreading from the dessert to the suburbs with its green lawn and trees in an ever increasing amount. You’ll be seeing them soon were you live if the global temperatures get hotter.
