  1. Two L.A. County deputies manages to turn a simple old couple stealing groceries at a supermarket into national news; police brutality, abuse of police powers, racial profiling, hunger in America, etc. When the cops put the handcuffs on the suspect, he says he’s being detained and not arrested. The cops legally can put you in handcuffs if you are a possible suspect and if you are a flight risk or a risk of being violent; it was an old black couple who looked like they could bare walk at a fast pace. In the body cam the cop never was heard telling the old lady she was being detained or handcuffed.

  2. You know it's not going to turnout well for the cops when the L.A. country releases the body cam so soon. The department is going to cut the bad PR press since there were people already using their phones to record.

  3. It was so bad PR that in the video the WinCo Foods store sign was fuzzy to block their name in the news.
