The Air Traffic Controller (ATC) in the tower looked out the tower window at the last moments to see the planes on a collision course in broad daylight after giving the wrong directions to both planes; one landing on a cross runway, while the other was taking off on another. If this had happen at night, it might have ended in tragedy.
