The NATO allies that had a stockpile of former Soviet era heavy weapons will begin transferring them to Ukraine. These Soviet era weapons should be put into action fairly quickly by the Ukrainians, since they were well maintained by the NATO countries. With the extensive Russian heavy equipment losses of their active units, the Russian military will have to use their long term weapons storage units which will require maintenance. With the numerous active units that broken down during combat, it appears the Russians have a poor maintenance record on maintaining their weapons.
