The Germans have announced that they will offer 100 of its self-propelled howitzers from its military units to Ukraine and have their manufacturer build them new howitzers for delivery in 2024. Slovakia will give Ukraine their Soviet era S-300 Surface-to-Air (SAM) defense system. Slovakia is a NATO member; batteries of US Patriot air defense systems operated by the US military will be sent to Slovakia. The Czech Republic will send their Soviet era T-72 tanks. The Czech Republic also got the approval from Germany to send BMP-1 Infantry Fighting Vehicles (IVF) from the defunct East German military; approval to transfer offensive weapons from German was required. Bulgaria will receive 8 F-16 fighters from the USA and may transfer its Su-25 and Mig-29 to Ukraine. It is looking like it will be a war of attrition.
