The police had gotten compliments about motorized vehicles driving on the pedestrian and bicycle road and began patrolling. If the ATV couldn’t see and stop in time for a full-size police car in the road traveling at his speed, it’s doubtful he would have seen or stopped in time for the family walking on the road.

@warrgri The ATV was driving illegally and speeding on a pedestrian path way and knew he would get a ticket when he saw the cop car but he didn’t slow down. He saw the large cop car, but didn’t slow down! Do you think at that speed he would see the mother pushing her baby stroller and swerve around them on a narrow path at that speed? An ATV can’t swerve around the mother pushing a baby stroller going at a high speed!

@israelgarcia7801 He was on a no motorized vehicles allowed pedestrian/bicycle pathway illegally and speeding with a cop car ahead, you can see the small ATV way before he hit the large cop car. The blacked out part of the narrow pathway was a mother pushing her child in a stroller in front of the speeding ATV.

@warrgri The cop was patrolling illegal motorized vehicles on a pedestrian path. It would be like if the cop saw an ATV speeding down a sidewalk with a mother pushing her child in a stroller and did not block the ATV from hitting the mother pushing her stroller.

@Devin-qy5ku It was a former road converted to a pedestrian path and bike path only. Former road signs are often left. Who walks down the middle of a vehicle road without sidewalk? You obliviously very wrong!
