  3. What is sad is that the Chancellery building survived largely intact after the war but the allies decided to demolish it in 1948 as to not become a Nazi shrine . That was a waste and a crime in History . A building is not the Evil ....I can just imagine walking thru that building today and teh History that it represented just like Hitlers house . Even as destroyed as it was , what a piece of history , just to be blown up ...its just a building
