Utterly, utterly deadly and hostile. Distances beyond the human imagination. We will never leave the solar system as long as we are made of flesh. Edit: If the galaxy was the size of the USA then our sun would be the size of a red blood cell. A reminder of the unimaginable scale and distances we are talking about.

@paperboy...8667 1080,000,000 kph IS unfathomable. It's physics and time. We aint leaving the solar system.

@Ryan-eu3kp I can't be optimistic when our life span is 70 years and the NEAREST star is 80,000 years away. Not to mention the ridiculous technology needed to span the desolate and dangerous expanses. No individual or ppl on earth would even gain anything from this trip. A trip so vast it would take over a 1000 generations to get there but a trip so small to the universe it's not a drop in an ocean.

@BLAZENYCBLACKOPS But interstellar travel is orders of magnitude more dangerous and difficult.
52
@paperboy...8667 Yes, I was discussing this very subject with Elvis and JFK earlier.
52
@jamesdonaldmorris2318 What alien civilisation's? This isn't Star Trek.
13
@paperboy...8667 Evidence of this?
10
@ESport211 Yes, just another 100,000 years until it reaches the closest star in its path. Now imagine humans trying this.
7
@SurajGupta_3D So you think a 70,000 year journey involving thousands of generations of ppl is just a step up from a 3 day journey to the moon?
7
@EELLISON2012 Live long and prosper.
5
@Ryan-eu3kp Yes I'm subbed to Cool world's. I think Dr Kipping is almost as pessimistic as me lol
3
@Colt1775 Precisely the problem. Humans have mass and a finite life span. I'm 100% certain flesh beings will never leave their solar system, including us.
3
@AmateurHour1111 and what wise person invented that moronic statement?
2
@bobspalding2477 Don't kid yourself. You know it isn't going to happen. Don't compare anything humanity has done or invented to the exploration of the universe. It is literally magnitudes upon magnitudes more difficult than anything we've ever done on our nice, safe habitable world.
2
@Alexander_Kale We have a life span. It's as simple as that. It's an absolute guarantee humans will never travel outside the solar system.
1
@ericr4479 Clearly you are moronic. Stop watching Star Trek and read up on the laws of physics. Humanity will never visit the stars and will die out when the sun expands and dies, if we even last that long.
1
@Masoch1st It is backwards cretins like you who think Star Trek is just around the corner. Explain to me how a generation ship will get to Alpha Centauri in 6000 years and then explain how the people survived on this ship for longer than recorded civilization and then explain why they went to Alpha Centauri in the first place?
1
@doctorspock4587 It's all science fiction. Generational ships are the only way and I just cannot see 2000 generations living peacefully on a ship for 50 thousand years just to reach our closest star which also happens to have no hospitable planets for humans. Every single thing about space travel is so beyond anything we could ever achieve, it's ridiculous even thinking about it. I suppose that's why we have science fiction because it allows us to dream the impossible.

@kingwillie206 You do realize the body decays in a frozen state? Ice crystals destroy the cells and also over a longer period of time radiation from decaying atoms kills the body. If cryo freezing was even possible.
1
@user-sw4qd2up2s Yes I don't deny there may be other life. I just don't think intelligent life can traverse the universe, even if it were possible to break the laws of physics. It's just too big.
1
@bmatteson88 lo You really do not have a single clue do you?
1
@bmatteson88 F off! Happy?
1
@musicfan300 I'm not. It doesn't exist. 99.999% of ppl just watch science fiction and don't understand the law's of physics.
1
@musicfan300 You are speculating. None of this is based on science today.
1
@lilmike2710 yeah. How was Elvis and JFK?
1
@williampaoli9057 Carry on watching Ancient Aliens
