  2. My dad fought in Europe and he said they practically had to fight every day. He was injured twice and was sent back on active duty once he got out of the hospital. He said their tour of Duty ended when the war ended. Then he spent about 6 months of occupation Duty in Germany.

  4. Many of the Vietnam vets that I talked to used to refer to the National Guard at that time as the chicken s*** Army.

  5.  @matovicmmilan  yeah I knew that. Because the Communists were better Fighters against the Nazis than the Chetniks were. Also during World War II the Soviet Union was one of our allies against the Nazis.

  6. Yeah William Calley, the last I heard, was selling jewelry at a mall in Columbus Georgia. He should have done time in the military prison at Leavenworth. Medina probably should have gotten a worse in it and got away with it Scott free. It was disgraceful that we let that happen. I can understand why soldiers might go psycho during war but still I think we should be better than that. Well at least that was one of the reasons why the American public said enough of that war. Even members of the Johnson Administration admitted that it was a waste of time money and people.
