Very well done documentary. The history was pretty accurate. I'm surprised that they did not mention the battle of Kosovo AKA the battle Of the field of blackbirds in which Serbia was defeated by the Ottoman Empire and basically became a vassal state of it until 1817 when it gained its independence with the help of Russia declaring itself as the protector of Serbia. Under Ottoman rule Many Christian families had to give up a son to the Ottoman' To join the Janissary corps and be raised as Muslims. It was also during this time that many Albanians converted to Islam. As the saying goes old wounds can run deep. It must have seemed very perplexing to the Serbs that President Bill Clinton and the Democrats supported Muslims over a Christian nation. It was to me as an American citizen. I couldn't see how much good could come from it in the future. As someone who graduated from the school of foreign service at Georgetown University he should have thought more about of what he was doing. He also went to the school of foreign service and Oxford in England. We did not gain any friends or influence in the Muslim world except Kosovo and alienated Christian Serbia. Bill Clinton must have slept through his history classes. I went to a secondary campus of a state university and thought his decision might not be a good idea. But the democrats were shot up in the ass with self righteousness.

@jovicanedeljkovic1885 The 2nd part is a good point but Russia cannot criticize US about Afghanistan. They were even worse.

@Michaela Miller Talk about Afghanistan We were boy scouts compared to what Russia did in Afghanistan. Oh unless not mentioned Syria what the atrocities have gone there with the Russians i And the Assad government. And oh yeah you supported the brutal Dictator kadafi. So how dare you lecture me on those countries. Russia has been far more brutal than America ever dreamed of being. Oh and we were so cruel and Panama not.
1
@Michaela Miller Don't confuse our oil industry with The government. Big oil is an entity on its own. The government can regulate it in this country but the companies have rights on their own and plenty of money. The American oil companies and British Petroleum developed the oil industry Pay for the Wells And had the technology. That's what gave them certain rights for the oil. So you're either a Russian troll, A woke idiot, Or A Qanon idiot nutcase.

@59vlada They are more reliable than State controlled media under the direct control of Putin.

@BluEclipse94 You forgot to mention That Hitler pulled tr Troops from the Eastern front to fight the battle of the bulge. He almost won the battle Until his type started running out of gas and the weather changed and the allies could use their air superiority.

@user-wi94725 Ok.

@59vlada Well I never saw that particular episode. So you're taking things out of context And not telling the full story. I can't Reply Without seeing the entire episode. Hiroshima and Nagasaki are still controversial to this day in discussions among Americans. There were many atrocities committed on both sides in Vietnam. Not that excuses it. However committing atrocities are not considered official military doctrine and can be a court Marshall offense. I have Have known people who have fought in Vietnam. There was a group of Vietnam veterans who went to visit And end it up becoming great friends with some of the NVA that they fought against in the same battles. These American veterans later on made donations for medical equipment to hospitals treating Vietnamese veterans. The Americans were Warmly invited back and they even offered To be hosts if they came over here.

@59vlada Whatever, you Condescending jerk. I made an attempt to answer your questions. It seems like you ought to Follow your own advice . You're just vomiting state propaganda .

@59vlada Nice try. I'm not upset. Still you need to look in the mirror and follow your own advice.

@BluEclipse 🤣😂 Your view of history is really amazing! It's really ridiculous! There's no denying That Russia suffered heavy losses But the allies including America invaded North Africa during the battle of Stalingrad. There they faced one of Germany's best officers field Marshal Irwin Rommel. AKA the desert Fox. The aim was to relieve the British And they're defense of the Suez canal and access to oil in the middle east. The British fought in N. Africa from June 1940 to August 17th 1943. The US entered the North African campaign On November the 8th 1942 and fought there till May 12th 1943. Then they went on to invade The island of Sicily to try to knock Italy out of the war. You also under play the fact that the allies bombed Germany and its factories day and night thus disrupting Germany's ability to resupply their army. The Americans bombed during the day And the British by night. Plus the US sent arms, ammunition, and money to the Soviets to help them fight the Germans.

@BluEclipse The So it's definitely had a manpower advantage And the T34 Was a very interesting tank. Even the Nazis at first thought it was the best tank. They even made a version of it for their army called the panther. Some people claim that it's inventor Mikhail Koshkin copied it's design from an American named Walter Christie because of the sloped front and the suspension. It appears that the Soviets only copied the suspension from some Christie tanks, turrets removed, sent to Russia as farm equipment. The Soviets could have come up with the front end on their own As it was a little different from the Christie design. Many thought that the panther and the T34 had their advantages and disadvantages and in many ways about equal. The biggest advantage of the T34 Was that it had a Cannon with longer range and could travel longer distances, Plus it was a lot more mechanically reliable than the panther. The panther had a wider track and and better optics so it had better situational Awareness on the battlefield. With its tracks it could go through Muddy areas better. The main reason why the 34 out perform the German thanks was the Russians had a whole lot more of them and just overwhelmed the Nazis with sheer numbers of tanks. The Americans use the same strategy against the Germans also.
1
@BluEclipse Yeah read on another site that the t34 could work better on rough terrain than the German tanks. That would make sense. I don't know where you got the idea about American planes falling apart Because the planes used against Japan could take a lot of abuse and still keep flying & fighting against the faster and more nimble Jap zeros. The American B17 bomber Could take a tremendous amount of abuse and still keep flying. I don't know where you got the idea that American planes were always falling apart unless we just sold the cheap shit to Russia.
1
@BluEclipse Both the Soviet Union and the west to capture or recruit German scientists. So give me a break there. You're just so anti-American that you won't give them credit for a d*** thing. Do so at your own peril. Americans have always been very inventive.

By the way look up who invented the modern rocket and modern rocket propulsion. However the German saw the potential of it and ran with it and developed it further. The Americans didn't at the time.

@Dj_M1 I didn't know that detailed. Thanks for the correction I appreciate it. Now I'm going to look up the battle.🙂👍

@Dj_M1Thank you. I did not know that detail. Now I'm going to have to research that battle. I wonder If it's capital fell the same year that Constantinople did? I will have to check it out. 🙂

@Terrence Bushell Well I think morally we should care about all people safety and security and not pick sides based on religion. Unfortunately it seems like we don't. I agree about genocide though it's wrong No matter who does it. A nation that commits genocide Just passes on this shame to future generations of that country. People criticized when there was mass migrations when India and Pakistan were created to be different countries, But if they hadn't have done it then that area would have probably been condemned to fighting continuous religious civil wars to this day. Unfortunately when it comes to religion or some ideology People have the nasty habit of saying it's my way or the highway or even worse it's my way or death. Humanity needs to grow up. Good point about Germany And Japan. With Germany maybe they learned the lesson from World War I It's not to be too harsh on a defeated nation. Japan was lucky in that general Douglas McArthur knew at lot about Japanese culture and sensitivities And made the occupation benign As possible And the recovery easier. It seems like it has to be A good thing when you can turn a former enemy into a good friend. It is a win win for both parties.
