  1.  @jackreisewitz7219  yeah that's about accurate. I think one of the major reasons why history appears to be cyclical is because people make the same mistakes over and over again given similar circumstances. They failed to learn the lessons from predecessors either they did not study it or they ignored it. Sometimes the players and the locations change but the situations and circumstances repeat themselves. In other words for an example of what I'm trying to say, a modern day General might make the same tactical and strategic blunders that a general did centuries earlier in a different location.
