  2. I am sorry about your friend. That is too bad. It shows just how much this Putin regime has the Russian people fooled. Your friend was probably trying to be a decent law-abiding citizen for his country that is what he got in return. That is tragic. I'm glad you told this story because this war really makes it hard to remember that a lot of Russians are just plane human beings also who were fooled by a psychotic dictator and his corrupt regime. We must never forget our Humanity and treat a defeated enemy with some compassion and decency. Sure war crimes have to be punished but we don't have to be Savage in the way we punish them. We also don't need to punish the innocent along with the guilty whenever we can and if it all possible. Thank you for reminding me that even though this war makes it easy to really to hate Putin's Russia we must never sacrifice our Humanity by doing so. We don't want to become as bad as the people we hate because if we do then they have gained some control over us.
