  1. That was what I thought was going on. I'm ignorant or uninformed about Belarus but I've always looked at it as a de facto part of Russia. Independent in name only. Considered lukashinco like a governor of a state belonging to Russia. It never occurred to me that belarus might actually have their own identity.
