Yeah no doubt it was lucrative for those in the defense industry but it was damaging to the economy as a whole. For instance it caused massive inflation or was one of the causes of it. After Vietnam we had stagflation. Afghanistan I guess it's too soon to tell. Yemen so complicated because it also involves 2 Islamic blocks vying for control of that region neither one has that great of a track record and their relationship with the US is shaky at best.

@Thisisfifty well we at least have people trying to break into our country instead of out of it. War is useless it would be nice if we could find a solution and end it. But if we did it on your terms Putin would next attack one country after another and after an exiting all the Old Warsaw Pact countries who had to apply for NATO membership which they wanted because they were afraid of Russia and their failed system, after that what next? Is she going to try to take East Germany back? Willie just stop there or go after the rest of Europe? Meanwhile enjoy your Pepsi and McDonald's hamburger.
