Yep. It worked for them in the 2nd World War and one should never underestimate Russia's ability to endure and accept suffering as something normal. They seem to need it and thrive on it. It is a weird society.

He is playing to a Russian audience and telling they want to hear. That Margarita is a crazy bitch! Evidently she wants the US to be an enemy of Russia. For about 2 decades after 1990 Most Americans didn't think about Russia hardly at all. Yeltson stand in front of the crowd was about the last thing they usually remember. After that we didn't really pay much attention to Russia. We were mainly preoccupied about thoughts about activities from fundamentalist Islamic terrorists groups if we thought about foreign affairs at all. Russia was just some place over on the other side of the world and what happened there was really none of our business. We were mainly Just concerned about making a living and going about our business. The level of paranoia in Russia is incredible! Retrospectively I guess we should have paid more attention to them. Evidently they need us to be their enemy more than we need them to be ours in order for their society to function.
