@TheFrewah well damn that is bad news.:-(. I was sadistically hoping the damage was extensive and time consumning. Oh well, it was a great effort though. As we say in the states,"They gave it the old college try." Kudos to them.

If that explosion was in the tunnel on the trans Siberian rail road then it was huge potential engineering head ache for Russia. Depending on the amount damage done it could take months or maybe a year to get fixed. It will also cut off supplies to the Vladivostok area via rail. Russia would have to send a lot supplies by 2 sea routes one which would be via the Bering Sea considered by many to be the stormiest and most dangerous sea in the world. That is even better than the fire at the "tractor factory" beyond the Urals. The Chinese ultra nationalist who want that part of Manchuria back must be jumping for joy. They could see this as an opportunity to get it back. It could have been done by Ukraineian partisans who deported to the area but I think it was problaby done by locals opposed to the war as their only way to express dissent. Desperate people will often do desperate things.
