  1. I think you nailed it. They challenged Putin's whole worldview and his personal beliefs. Let's just hope now he starts to analyze his beliefs and has a change of heart and admit that he was wrong and needs to change himself. Now that would be a miracle.

  6. Putin all by himself showed why NATO is needed. If he had just left things well enough alone then many NATO countries would have asked that same question about NATO. The US would love for European countries to be more responsible for their defense because NATO is expensive.

  7. No does Putin wants to start it? He is the one who has threatened it. The Warsaw Pact collapsed NATO expanded because countries wanted to join it. In kaliningrad Russia has nukes closer to European capitals then they have close to Moscow.

  8. You're right there's a lot we don't know about how Russian people think about their country. I imagine that a lot of Russians are patriotic like people are in countries all over the world. It's just hard to get information out of Russia. It's not like they're the most open Society in the world or anything.
