So long as thier is no national identity the people will always be divided. Simply because thier is nothing to fall back on, no ethnic identity, no religious identity, and no cultural identity. Each section, state and region of the us is so vastly different that we are unable to unite. Thus all we can associate with are people who think and believe like us which’s is a 50 50 split. Thus the us is doomed to collapse into chaos and war because we can see no reason to live with each other or even a reason to tolerate each other.
