  20. Going soft on Russia has never, ever been US foreign policy. That's partly how we brought down the USSR and freed half of Europe and the former Soviet States. Reagan, JFK, Bush, Carter, Nixon, Eisenhower, Ford, Obama, no one, except Trump/Kennedy has offered that extremely dangerous offering to the Russians.

That’s how we freed Eastern Europe and brought down the USSR, that’s how we protect democracy in Japan, Korea and Taiwan. I do disagree vehemently with kowtowing to Putin - anything that weakens tyranny short of nuclear war is a net win for world peace.Reagan and JFK acted accordingly. I disagree that gun reform is not possible and that conspiracy theories are viable arguments. Prozac is not to blame for mass shootings.

  29.  @tracyforpeace  I’m old enough to remember Kennedy, the Bay of Pigs, the Berlin Airlift and the beginning of Vietnam. And while I agree that there is some truth to JFK’s claim that we had a part in starting this war, his opinion that America has some kind of nefarious, imperialist goal is a cliche leftover from the 60s. World peace, which any sane person sees as the ultimate foreign policy goal, is dependent on democracy. Putin and his fellow tyrants in N Korea, China, and Iran are highly allergic to civil rights; Putin has seen the failure of the USSR and surely knows that democracy will eventually end his kind. I believe Biden has done a very good job of calibrating our threat to Putin. I also believe that the Ukraine war is now a stalemate that needs to end in compromise. I’m a diehard liberal, I support more socialism in America, but some of RFK’s conspiracies (Prozac,Fauci) and his fuzzy beliefs about American war mongering make him unsuitable for the White House.

  37. Beyond his conspiracy nonsense, and more existentially frightening is RFK’s soft on Russia policy, which goes against US policy under every president since WW2 (Trump not included). Wake up RFK fans, we freed half of Europe when the USSR collapsed. Too expensive to support Ukraine? Imagine if Putin bullies Finland or Poland and we have to pay that bill, which might be Armageddon.

Going soft on Russia or China goes against every US president since WW2, a period when we freed half of Europe from the USSR. This isn’t a beauty contest, this about how seriously you understand the world. There are areas like Citizens United and the environment where I agree with him, but too many times he’s making it up as he goes without thinking or checking the history books.
