  22.  @micolislongis5558  I'm not a Schellenberger expert, but he seems to me to be another contrarian pundit (see Jordan Peterson) who uses phrases like 'deep state' and 'woke matrix'. Those are right wing dog whistles. If you want to discuss the military industrial complex, fine, it's certainly a real issue. The 'deep state' however, is simply a punching bag for what the anti-government right doesn't like. The 'woke matrix' likewise is more a signifier of the speaker's tendency to see conspiracy where there is none. I'm not saying there aren't things about 'wokeism' that can't be criticized, but calling it a matrix is not reasoned argument. He also seems to be a proponent of 'absolute freedom', which I characterize as a license to lie. The 1st amendment has limitations.

  23.  @briantoplessbar4685  Contrary to Schellenberger, I'm not a believer in 'absolute free speech', not is it enshrined in the 1st amendment. I will agree that there is there are grey areas where discussion is warranted. But this guy is claims that climate change is not apocalyptic. That's simple bs. The cost of the damage caused by rising global temperatures, which will fall most heavily on the poor, is already gargantuan. Devastating fires, floods, hurricanes, soaring summer temps, insurance companies bailing out of home insurance: what's it going to take to satisfy his idea of apocalyptic? Cancellation is often just a matter of 'Your opinions do not reach basic standards'.

  24.  @missano3856  I'm more worried by Trump than the 'deep state', completely convinced that climate change is a devastating problem and more worried about ongoing racism, sexism etc than about the 'woke matrix', as if there's a conspiracy to get people civil rights.

And on 'woke matrix' or 'deep state', he's simply peddling a smorgasbord of half baked junk with a smattering of truth to make it plausible. He's self cancelled.

  27.  @micolislongis5558  S is pretty much a climate change denier, claiming that it's not an apocalyptic problem, while we have record fires, floods, storms, insurance co bailing out of home insurance. His youtube rants are all about "woke matrix" and the 'Deep State". While you can find stupidity in wokeness, it's basically a struggle for civil rights, which doesn't require a 'matrix'/conspiracy to define it. And the so called Deep State is a favorite whipping boy for the right, until they find themselves in power then they're happy to weaponize it-see abortion rights. S makes a living in this kind of questionable contrarian ecosphere.
