  5. The failures are multiple and on both sides of the aisle. There is no 'right' side in this 100 year long conflict.

  6. The sexual revolution was an inevitable response to the hypocrisy of our religious culture. Was it a rousing success? Very few revolutions can say that, but some of the problems it brougt to light we are still dealing with: sexual abuse by clergy, domestic abuse, sexual harassment etc. It is extremely naive to think it was an error we could have avoided.
