  4. There’s a reason for book banning. Those who favor it would rather hide certain information from the public, be it the ideal of democracy in dictatorships, or in the case of run of the mill conservatives anything to do with sexuality (oh my), civil rights or the dread socialism.

  7.  @NRClips3414  Whatever the mechanism, I see billionaires as both a threat to democracy and hogs eating too much of the financial pie. I’ve heard defenders say that we need billionaires to create innovation. Absurd, if you can’t create on $500 million, you can’t create. The middle class has been hollowed out by wage stagnation and cash/options/inheritance pouring upwards. Scaring business away to where? America once had a top tax rate of %90-70 from the 40s to ‘81.

  8. I've lived 2/3 of my life with Kissinger. I hope to never hear another piece of mealy mouthed 'statesman-like' advice from this master triangulator. "The rise of China and AI are the two threats to America and the world". Still playing the pretentious power politic guru at 100. What about the danger of climate change and runaway financial inequity? The threat of misinformation and demagoguery. Don't let the door hit you on the way out.
