  1.  @eigentlichtoll02  Frankly, I refer to myself as a militant feminist. So a movie being ‘a bit against men’ is a very small comeuppance compared to the history of film that has degraded women, just as society has. I loved the whole premise of Barbie traveling into reality, I LOVED Gosling as Ken, the dance numbers, the guys playing guitar while girls were supposed to just watch. And while there may be feminists who believe women should be in a superior position, I think that’s mainly a conservative myth. The reality is that patriarchal culture, especially in the form of fundamentalist religion, is driving violence and conflict (especially against women) around the world.

  5. Conservatives are afraid of change, particularly any change in gender roles - see Roe v Wade, Title IX, domestic abuse laws, sexual harassment laws, stalking laws, divorce laws etc.
