Every president since WW2 has kept the pressure up on both China and Russia. The result: Eastern Europe freed in ‘90 when the Iron Curtain came down and the USSR dissolved, Japan, Taiwan, S Korea are flourishing democracies because we guarantee it. Know the secret to world peace? Democracy. Isolationism, what you’re arguing, is why it took us so long to start fighting in WW2.

@shadowreaver1851 Grownups remember that every president since WW2 has backed a policy of containment against China and Russia, resulting in the fall of the USSR/freeing of Eastern Europe, and building and protecting democracies in Taiwan, Japan, S Korea. World peace is built on the expansion of democracy and the diminishment of tyranny. Isolationism, 'saving our money', helped lead to Hitler.

@shadowreaver1851 There's a reason both Dems and Republicans signed off on this. Every administration since WW2 has kept the pressure on China and Russia and free half of Europe in the process, while building democracies (that we protect) in Japan, S Korea and Taiwan. You want to cut the debt; there are saner ways to do that.
