We'll see if Trump gets any closer than Carter to Middle East peace. Carter got close; Trump unlikely to match that, but maybe, somehow.

@davebrookbank4831 You’re barking up the wrong tree with no factual bite. Carter and BillClinton both worked at the peace process, Carter came close. Tell me exactly what Trump did, or I’ll tell you. He tried to push a deal making peace between Saudis and Israel, cutting out the Palestinians. Guess what happened? Oct 7.

@murphymalinois I was talking about Israel/Palestine. The overthrow of the Shah of Iran and hostages was due to a long history of US support of the Shah and his secret service, by both parties. And Reagan didn’t want the hostages released until he won the election.

@davebrookbank4831 You're right to give up. Trump's middle east peace plan was to forge an alliance between the Saudis and the Israelis while cutting out the Palestinians. Hamas wasn't happy and so, Oct. 7th. I'd like to believe he can do better, but I'll believe it when I see it.
