Taking care of men was never the point of feminism. Men control all the worlds religions, 3/4 of Fortune 500 Chairs, 60% of elected government positions, the White House and 5 seats on SCOTUS. Let me know when that changes.

I like to do dangerous stuff-motorcycle, sky dive and I like most sports, but I don't whistle at women, don't push myself on them and treat them with respect. Men are still in charge of most of the powerful positions in the world; if their getting demonized, they must have earned it (Roe v Wade).

@BOTNPC You’re 1% hypothesis is hilarious. Look at who runs religions, in government it’s close to male 66%, in the Fortune 500 CEOS are 75% male. It isn’t a matter of who has issues, clearly both men and women are suffering. But take male suicide for example. In a world where machismo/patriarchal attitudes are the dominant model, men will not seek out mental health. That is why some kind of equality, and the erasure of machismo, is desirable for both sexes. Your argument about the justice system needs clarification because a huge percentage of rapes go unsolved and until recently sexual harassment wasn’t a norm. So I don’t say boys are not being failed, but the cause is partly that the old tough guy attitudes are not easily changed, as evidenced dramatically by the statements and actions of the GOP presidential ticket.

@BOTNPC Is there a point to your 1% of whatever? Men are in control, in power and have been for centuries. So whining about feminism is just looking for a scapegoat for problems that men have created. "literally the way things should be" not sure what that refers to, but it's an opinion, not a fact.

@BloodBornShadowWalker The whole idea of this video is ridiculous. I care about men’s loneliness, but that is a problem because old school male stereotypes aren’t keeping up with women’s rights. That’s not a problem with feminism, that’s a problem with the way we’ve raised men. Do you expect women to settle for less for because men haven’t kept up? Logic? It’s also the reason men commit successful suicides at a higher rate - they don’t seek help because it isn’t macho. Feminism is the cure, not the problem.

@BloodBornShadowWalker Men commit successful suicide at higher rates than women. Men are lonely. Feminism is not the problem, it's the solution. If we replace the old model of manliness, meaning you walk off the pain and don't talk about your feelings, with a new, more humanist model, then men can learn to seek psych help, men can learn to make friends with both sexes etc. The dominant model, the patriarchy is still in effect as evidenced by unequal power sharing, among other things. So blaming feminism is absurd and an obvious failure of logic. Women aren't going backwards anymore than LGBTQ or non-whites are.

@BOTNPC I’m all for addressing men issues from loneliness to suicide rates. Blaming women or feminism is illogical. We still haven’t passed the ERA, women aren’t making the SCOTUS decisions etc. Macho culture is the problem- men don’t reach out for mental healthcare because it appears a weakness. Feminism stands against that culture, not against men. How about you provide some ‘context’ instead of falling back on childish insults.

@BOTNPC You told me to learn to read and you’re commenting on American women’s rights with no context. Where are you from? Very few countries have a good track record on that. Your logic is non-existent. The title is Feminism Failing Boys, so feminism is women’s rights. This conservative talking head, like most conservatives dislikes women’s rights, gay rights and non-white rights. And here’s the important point. In most of the world men have been running things for most of history, teaching men to be tough. Maybe that was useful when we needed to hunt or fight constantly. Now the problem is that model, machismo, is a weakness, not a strength in the modern world. In our country, men commit suicide at higher rates than women. They are lonely. If anything, feminism is a cure for that problem, as women hold more power, emotional stability, not toughness becomes more valued. Men can learn to seek mental health, learn to talk to women etc. If you have a better solution for men’s problems, please share it.

@BOTNPC As you said, you don't know about US gender history. If you did, you'd know that women are again fighting for the right to safe abortions, that a bill stating equality between the genders has been stalled in government for 50 years, that women are still struggling for equal opportunity in many fields.
