  7. Want to know why the country is polarized - Fox News. Didn’t have it back in the old days, we all watched ABC, NBC or CBS. There were no Tucker Carlson, or his liberal equivalent. Strip the title of news away and call it what it is, Fox Opinion.

  11. Major publications and internet platforms should be fact checked, otherwise there is no shared reality and therefore no ability to negotiate differences. There is also the insidious SCOTUS ruling Citizens United, which basically gives more free speech to those with bigger wallets.

The sexual revolution encompasses so many sexual, political, racial, religious and economic issues that it can’t be chewed up in these little conservative broadsides against porn or modern feminism.

  15.  @bhatkat  I find the notion of effective altruism obvious. Who wants to practice ineffective altruism? I also question the means by which donations are achieved (see FTX). I’m hardly utopian having been raised in the hippie era and seen its failures up close, but I’m definitely capital l liberal.
