  2. My Aus built Camry Toyota oil filter costs $24 at the dealer. I buy aftermarket. My son is visiting the US so I am going to ask him to get me 2 Toyota oil filters at the US price. I use Cooper or Ryco filters here now, which I get at wholesale cost of $6. Car has 240K kms on it, still going strong.

  3. The only reason for the multi speed autos is the unrealistic fuel economy restrictions set by the US gov, who would prefer you abandon your car and use public transport. Even though there is no reason for the US gov to set fuel economy standards. Complain to your local elected rep.
