  3. Clearly, what these people share is trauma in their backgrounds. I'm guessing they all don't share the same cause of the trauma, but the election result was the trigger that allowed them to express these crazy trauma responses. The responses merely demonstrate their mental instability. Like you suggested, a sane person would get a hair brush, blow their nose and go for a walk, not disown their dad.

Figurative self-immolation gradually expands from smashing your own TV to shaving your own head to not speaking to the opposite sex to burning down the only grocery store in your own community to burning down your own neighborhood. It's a leftist thing to self-harm when upset about things. It comes from their a history of trauma and the lack of coping skills to deal with emotions.
