Figurative self-immolation gradually expands from smashing your own TV to shaving your own head to not speaking to the opposite sex to burning down the only grocery store in your own community to burning down your own neighborhood. It's a leftist thing to self-harm when upset about things. It comes from their a history of trauma and the lack of coping skills to deal with emotions.
