Yes they do Seth. They want to call it "Indigenous Peoples Day" because we "stole" the land from the native Americans. The problem is the real Thanksgiving was in 1620 something and there was peace for the nest fifty years. But yes eventually we won a war. Native Americans lost 50% of their men. The "Pilgrims" lost 35% of their men. This was a war won not a genocide like the Thanksgiving re-namers want to allege. Seth, you merely aren't paying attention to how crazy leftists have become. They LITERALLY want us to rename it Indigenous Peoples Day. So, STFU.

This land is our land. We merely let them reside there.

@ianmiller6040 We didn't steal it, we won it. We won. Understand these tribes were trying to get rid of each other long before we came. We just came with better weapons. These were not the peace loving nature lovers your leftist college professor taught you about.

@mirandaplant5542 We lost 35% of our "warriors" to their 60%, so it was more of a war than a theft. The indigenous people killed each other during wars over the centuries. Tribes enslaved other tribes. There were tribes who took the land of other tribes. So because we weren't the "first" ones here, doesn't mean we "stole' anything. This has been going on for centuries. Rome conquered many lands. it occurs all through history. We merely battled relatively recently to create a homeland.

@mirandaplant5542 Your understanding of what occurred is from the deluded left wing teachers that painted it as some slaughter. There were protracted battles, some of which the Europeans lost. But frankly I'll take your perspective as the truth. I have no problem coming over and taking the land. it's the way progress occurred back then. Look at it this way, the indigenous people had been enslaving one another for thousands of years and in a mere few centuries after arriving here we did away with slavery.

@mirandaplant5542 You missed entirely what i was saying.We freed the indigenous people from thousands of years of enslavement by other indigenous people when we took over the land. Within a couple hundred years, slavery was abolished on the land where the US is, after literally thousands of years of slavery. And by the way, that brief period where Europeans enslaved Africans here, those slaves were sold to Europeans by other Africans. We got rid of that nonsense within a century.

@mirandaplant5542 Your self-loathing is unbecoming.

@mirandaplant5542 Nice try, but you ooze self-doubt. You spend your time worrying about what your ancestors did so you don't have to think about what a mess your life is. Maybe if you just pay reparations to the native folk, you will find meaning. Good luck. I hope you find peace and one day you can stop apologizing for what some people in the distant past did that is so difficult for you. Me, I'm fine with it. We carved out a great country when pioneers could still do it. I wonder how incensed you get when women kill the children they carry. I bet not so much, that's different.

@mirandaplant5542 I took all of my replies directly from Louder with Crowder's "Change My Mind" segment about Thanksgiving. I was merely trolling you. I could not care less about any of this. I saw you getting worked up so I thought a little chain pulling was in order. But man, you take this sh!t seriously, huh? Good on you. We need more Greta Thunbergs.
