@gozardsmooth In Exodus 22:2, Moses gave this law: "If the thief is caught while breaking in and is struck so that he dies, there will be no bloodguiltiness on his account".
In the New Testament Jesus himself told his followers to obtain swords: "And He said to them, “But now, whoever has a money belt is to take it along, likewise also a bag, and whoever has no sword is to sell his coat and buy one. For I tell you that this which is written must be fulfilled in Me, ‘AND HE WAS NUMBERED WITH TRANSGRESSORS’; for that which refers to Me has its fulfillment.” They said, “Lord, look, here are two swords.” And He said to them, “It is enough.” Luke 22:36-38
The bible does not preclude people from defending themselves even if it results in the transgressor's death. In fact it encourages us to protect the weak. You seem to misinterpreting the "turn the other cheek" sentiment. That was in reference to being insulted not assaulted.
