  1. Listen folk, "Flattening the curve" doesn't reduce the number of infections, it merely lengthens the time period so hospitals aren't overwhelmed because everyone comes in at once. Those of you who think the "flattening the curve" way of dealing with the virus means less will be infected are under an incorrect mindset. That merely stretches how long the virus lasts in the community so it doesn't overwhelm hospitals with a huge curve. The same number will be infected whether you let it take its course or slow its progress by flattening it. In the beginning the med folk were telling you but then it somehow became shelter in place will lower infections. That just isn't true.
