This is what most Americans used to believe; it was the norm. Now she stands out as a rare patriot.

I feel like I'm being punked. It's like I'm on some crazy "Candid Camera" show where someone I know is going to say, "Gotcha! The Democrats aren't this bat$#!+ crazy. We were just playing a joke!" It's almost like you can't make this stuff up.

"We did not fight a civil war about oboe players. We did fight a civil war to eliminate racial discrimination." That my friends is solid reasoning. ;)

I left Michigan years ago because of the left. I'm so thankful that Michigan voters might be regaining their sanity.

Not only are her positions outrageous, she is disingenuous. Her social justice positions make her a danger in the judiciary.
34
Penumbra was used many times a a colloquialism but basically she should have known Griswald v. Connecticut. These people aren't prepared to be federal judges.
33
"Promises have been made and promises have been kept and we've got the receipts to prove it."
32
"Ripe", not "right". A case is "ripe" if it "presents a purely legal issue, or if further development of the facts will not render the issue more concrete". That is to say, the legal issue is fully fleshed out, there has been a direct threat (not a perceived future grievance) and all other legal avenues have been exhausted. It is ready for the Supreme Court.

Patriot Act.

It's so interesting that we do this dance when we know what is occurring. It's comical.
10
@marccovitz5289 In fact, the District Court found "a statistically significant and negative relationship between Asian American identity and the personal rating assigned by Harvard Admissions". Alito is exploring this relationship. The lower courts are not the final arbiter, the Supreme Court is.

Tulsi is a patriot. She became a Democrat when they were sane. She left the party when they went crazy.
9
She is by far the best candidate I've seen this election cycle (beside DeSantis of course, but he's already in office;).
9
All politics aside. I mean that. I'm in California and I WISH we had someone like him. He's not trying to get rich being a politician, he's trying to LEAD. There are few leaders and a shit ton of politicians.
8
I'm looking forward to the midterms.
7
American Patriot.
5
He honestly is "We the people". That is so rare. I envy you in Florida
5
@marccovitz5289 I have no dog in this fight. I'm merely reminding you that many parties try to take their concerns all the way to the Supreme Court. It doesn't matter how many under courts ruled one way or another. This is where the buck stops.

@bl9898 Sorry for your loss. My pops is gone as well. We'd fill the garage freezer with venison and the garage fridge with beers. ;)

@TapiKoks Israel's Iron Dome is partially funded by the US because it is a joint project between American company Raytheon and Israeli company Raphael. The US manufactures sub-systems for it in 15 states. It creates American jobs in 15 states. We also fund it because we want it for the US. We currently use the Patriot system. The patriot missiles cost over 2 million each. The Iron Dome missiles cost about 63 thousand The system is 10 times more effective than the patriot system. This is because the patriot system interception system is like swatting a flies with a hammer. The Iron Dome missiles track incoming missiles to determine where they will hit and if in an isolated field somewhere, an intercepting missile doesn't launch. It also tracks where the intercepted missile will fall to the earth because debris is dangerous. It then launches an intercepting missile to take out the incoming attack at the best location causing the least damage. We want their system, so we are helping pay for it and we're helping build it. And Americans are working because of it. So hyperbole isn't appropriate in this instance.

I'm in Cali as well and the left is for a Godless America. Herschel spoke great here.
3
I'm thankful that he's on the court

There are bright Caucasians and not so bright Caucasians. There are bright Asians and not so bright Asians. There are bright African-Americans and not so bright African-Americans. "Diversity" isn't about the color of our skin. Diversity is about the colors of our experiences and knowledge. We need to do away with skin color as a factor of getting into Harvard. If you have the grades, have the community service, have the scores, then you get in. Skin color is an absurd way to try and create diversity. Believe me, the African Americans, Caucasians and Asians who deserve to go to Harvard have a lot more than their skin color that would suggest you admit them. And THAT thing they have in common is why they deserve admission.

Thank you Mr. Hawley.

@highroller-jq3ix I think I was about 7.
2
Thank God for DeSantis. Floridians have quite a lot to be proud of. I live in California and I really envy you in Florida.
2
You sound like a lawyer ;) well done.
2
@ronwhitfield8356 California IS Venezuela at this point.
2
So envious of Floridians. In California, our governor is never not thinking of ways to take away rights.
2
That was well done.
2
for me 4:10 was the question of this query. It was brilliant.
2
@MercNov2011 He pushed on policy, not the man. And I trust that if he disagrees with a policy I WANT him to push back, regardless who it is. THAT is leadership.
1
That was an awesome exchange of ideas
1
I really enjoyed that entire speech. The left is for a Godless America. I so love that the right is unafraid to thank God. I don't even live in Georgia but I know this is an easy vote.
1
The toll rebate is just such a great idea and to repeal the sales tax on diapers and wipes and cribs and strollers? Dude is brilliant. He said we're gonna help families. He' s a special governor and I don't live in Florida. Dude is suspending property taxes on families with homes hit by the storms. Crazy good stuff. In California, Newsome would find a way to tax the people who had homes damaged.

He was asking constitutional law questions that any law school graduate should be able answer. But he was also letting her know that he knew what she was doing. And what she was doing was answering him as if she had been asked the question by her civics' teacher. She gave him what was the "correct answer", but he was able to paint her as shady because of the literal bs level of answer hers was. She was outmatched, but no one sees this $#!+. People are worried about pronouns.

This should have been covered by someone using something other than a potato to cover the press conference. But the media just wants everyone to put a Ukrainian flag in their Twitter Bio and shut up.
1
A Starbucks Barista asking one of the greatest legal minds in the country an inane question. Too funny.
1
I cannot even tell you how much I don't care about his past foibles. What I do care about is will he represent the people he needs to represent and frankly, I think I trust him over the other guy.
1
Jordan should be Speaker.
1
It's almost like they need to see how many ballots they are going to need to create to beat who they don't want to win.
1
This is leadership. This isn't relenting to craziness.

Democrats have the majority in the Judiciary Committee and as such, at least one Democrat has to vote with the Republicans to not move a judge forward. Recently Sen. Jon Ossoff (D-Ga.) voted with Republicans to block the nomination of Judge Sarah Netburn. She had testified it was impossible to determine a person's sex by merely studying their chromosomes. In fact, she had sent a man who was convicted of r*ape to a women's prison after he said he was trans. She then defended her actions in her testimony and Ossoff said he couldn't vote to confirm her (thank God). But this is rare because most Dems rubber stamp Biden's nominees and they have the majority in the committee.
1
DeSantis, you need to run in 2024. We're behind you.
1
I'm assuming people understand that the Democrats' aversion to voter ID is that they won't be able to as easily count votes that were illegally cast. No one in their right mind thinks it's racist. Who doesn't have an ID, for crying out loud? You know who? People here illegally and dead people. They won't get to vote Democratic any longer.
1
@ronwhitfield8356 California is a $#!+hole and you know it.
1
@ronwhitfield8356 lol...every overpass 100 more tents. f*ck off. we all know what California has become. Anyone with any sense is getting the hell out.
1
To the left words can be considered violence, so this will not end well.
1
thank you for switching sides. welcome to humanity.
1
That was just a silly post. You pick sides based upon nonsense. She sees the damage done by the left and she finally said I can't support this elite woke $#!+.
