  2. Democrats have the majority in the Judiciary Committee and as such, at least one Democrat has to vote with the Republicans to not move a judge forward. Recently Sen. Jon Ossoff (D-Ga.) voted with Republicans to block the nomination of Judge Sarah Netburn. She had testified it was impossible to determine a person's sex by merely studying their chromosomes. In fact, she had sent a man who was convicted of r*ape to a women's prison after he said he was trans. She then defended her actions in her testimony and Ossoff said he couldn't vote to confirm her (thank God). But this is rare because most Dems rubber stamp Biden's nominees and they have the majority in the committee.
