  1. There is video footage on twitter and TMZ that showed what occurred. The twitter snippets from another angle show close ups of him aiming the gun. A police shooting here is completely justified. Police received a call about a man on the beach waving a gun. When they arrived he was holding it under a shirt he was carrying. He refused to comply with commands and he was tazed. While on the ground he aimed the gun at an officer and was shot

  8. The moral of the story is don't come to HB and mess around. We won't have it. And btw, regarding deterrence, there are two types. There is specific deterrence that basically says this guy won't do it again and there is general deterrence that says because what the officer did, others won't act up. This instance is very high in specific deterrence but probably very low in general deterrence. It's much like capital punishment, which is exceedingly high in specific deterrence, but also very low in general deterrence. It does not deter other murderers. But again, HB supports the police.
