So instead of suggesting the virus attacks a certain group, one could understand that as a general rule, the areas with the most testing are goijng to show the most cases. That is to say, if you are able to get a test (like the wealthy in California) you are able to see the actual percentage of those infected as opposed to folk wandering around with the virus but no test was available to them. So, what does this mean? It means that you need to take it with a grain of salt when areas are designated as "hot spots". Most often that merely means tests were available in those areas so we have a more accurate snapshot of who is infected. As tests become routinely available we will have a clearer picture of the areas most affected.

Today they had Dreyer's Ice Cream half gallons....99 cents. People wait at the coolers at around 11 am to see what the truck dropped off that day. Couple weeks ago it was 16 ounce precooked baby back ribs in BBQ sauce. The racks sell for about $12.00 in Ralph's....99 cents that day. I grabbed a handful and froze a few racks. ;) My favorite is when they have their cheese day (usually Wednesday). They'll put out brand name containers of feta, brand name balls of mozzarella and top notch sliced cheeses. I stock up on cheeses. Athena Feta for 99 cents ;)

When the calimari body is sliced it looks like a tiger's eye. It comes with a mayo based dipping sauce that is to die for. Baked Giant Clam - It is a cubed giant clam that was broiled in a special mayo sauce with onion and smelt eggs (addictive). Mountain Potato with tuna (Yama Imo) - This is a thinly sliced Japanese Yam which is similar to crunchy jicama but with a slime like okra in a bowl with cubed raw tuna. Just pour in some soy and it is an amazing dish. Halibut Sashimi - (my favorite) very thinly sliced halibut over an ice bed with a ponzu green onion dipping sauce. There you go. Now go eat sushi, you'll never look back. ;) Later on you can get into the crazy good raw stuff like uni (raw sea urchin roe).

My point is, no, science on the subject suggests that animals generally don't "remember everything....good and bad". It allegedly may come down to the hippocampus in an animal's brain. That is allegedly where episodic memory originates.

It's pretty mind-boggling when you start diving into what other animals might "know" or "think".

  449. The US Government didn't bar New Yorkers from using the fast track because they allow Illegal immigrants to get a driver's licence. The US govermnment barred them from using the service because part of the law says the US govermnent cannot use the driver's license state database to determine if someone commited a crime that would PRECLUDE them from using the fast track service. New York told they feds they can have no access to check a driver's criminal history so the feds said well, then since we can't be assurred anyone isn't a convicted drunk driver, etc, we're not safe in letting New Yorkers use the fast track flying PRIVILEGE. It isn't a right to use that service, it's a privilege.

But often becoming aware causes waking. if you look down at your hands in the dream you can stay there much longer and do what you want. But I'm FULLY awake in the dream. It's as if I'm awake but I'm dreaming and fully aware I'm doing it. I'm literally doing what I want in that world as an awake person so you can only IMAGINE what I waste time doing. Really. I spend a lot of time doing "silly" stuff. Looking at my hands was a trick someone told me many years ago who also lucidly dreams and I use that technique very well. When I'm dreaming and wake up in the dream, before it fades I say to myself look at your hands or you'll wake up. Focus! I focus on my dream hands and then I can look back up and stay in the dream world but I'm awake. It takes practice. It sounds crazy but lucid dreamers are everywhere.

I'm not addressing whether abortion should or shouldn't be legal. The decision was a bad decision because it was too broad as well. The majority argued that the Due Process Clause of the Fourteenth Amendment provided a "right to privacy" that protects a pregnant woman's right to choose whether or not to have an abortion. It was a stretch to use the right to privacy. Also, it didn't take into account the rights of the unborn. Ruth Bader Ginsburg hated Roe v. Wade. She said many times it was too sweeping. Clinton almost didn't nominate her because he heard feminists didn't like her. She said it was breathtakingly broad and counter-productive. People now want to rewrite history but liberals did not want her on the bench. Barrett will get the same attention in the beginning until she makes some ruling the left can live with (like Roberts lately), and this will blow over.

So a state can decide if it wants federal funding or not. Many states did not have a 21 year old drinking law. In many states the law was 18. The feds said fine, if you wish the drinking age to be 18, the feds will not subsidize your highways. They did the same thing when states didn't want to adopt a 55 mile per hour speed limit to conserve fuel. So yes, states can decide to do such things and the feds can respond by withholding federal funding. The courts work it out.
