@Burrito Supreme I was actually talking about Tommy having a very short amateur career, not Wilder, my only point on Wilder was that he started boxing late like Jake, looks like it's you who can't read, dumb dumb.
Wilder wasn't a PPV draw immediately when he started boxing, Jake was, that's the difference. Wilder fought unknown journeymen bum boxers with no names or followings at the start of his career, Jake can't do that same approach because it makes no sense on the business side, this is where you're failing to understand Jakes unique situation, no one has ever had the spotlight on themselves to this extent in boxing within their first five fights.
Jake can't just fight unknown journeymen boxers with horrible records because the PPV sales will be nowhere near as high compared to Jake fighting opponents who do actually have a name and a following, the problem is, there are no boxers on Jakes level or below in boxing who have big names and large followings, all the boxers with names and followings are miles upon miles better than Jake at boxing, which is why he can't fight them. Tommy Fury was perfect, because he had a name, a following, was a boxer however a very beatable boxer for Jake, hence why Jake and his team accepted the fight.
Jake has chosen to box UFC athletes instead because they have names/followings which sells more PPVs plus they are also beatable for Jake, simple to understand.
