British and US population would not allow the war to go on to the 50s. Especially if Soviet Union falls. Britain was almost hitting bankruptcy during the war even in our own timeline

No not really. The basis is this. First off, Germany taking time to fully repair doesn't change that they would gain more and more oil over time. Secondly, no it would not cause a near Soviet economic collapse (like what happens in our own timeline), it would cause a collapse. The Soviets were struggling enough as it was with the fall of the Ukraine and had the Caucasus fallen completely, it would of been the straw that broke the camel's back. Also the local advantage, better manpower, and logistics is meaningless if their resistance cannot be organized or be properly supplied. At this point not only would a German victory in Fall Blau be a strategic defeat for the Soviets, it would be moralewise, a crushing defeat and would possibly destroy Soviet organization almost completely. If we were to combine this with a German attack of Moscow in 1943 as what the Germans planned. This would of been the final blow to destroy Soviet organization of their resistance. "Nazis unable to hold Volga and even more over extended. " Had blow succeeded, they would of held the Volga or at least west of it. "Baku refineries/railroads easy target for partisans and soviet air attack." Soviet partisans were not major enough of a threat and the Soviet air force was inferior to the Luftwaffe at the time. "A nuke on Berlin would end European WW2 in short order." No it really wouldn't. First off it would be realistically near impossible to do an air raid on Berlin in this alternante 1945 and even had it worked, unless Hitler dies, Germany will not surrender and the Americans and Brits are not going to resort to Nuclear genocide.

goldreserve perhaps however after the carcasses are held then Germany simply has to fight a defensive war until the oil could re-supply literally all the mechanized forces. Also it’s not like German and couldn’t move troops to the front they just weren’t able to properly supply them. If our plow was one then Germany could properly establish the rail not work there and it’s like I said before the red army Air Force was pretty much equivalent to lift Wi-Fi in most areas but was left inferior due to the plains quality. Yes the loaf waffle was a bit overstretched but it’s no secret that Germany once when it starts getting oil back to the mainland can start mass producing the left wall for back to its original state. And you don’t even need the complete loaf wife on the carcasses if you even just set up anti-air defenses that could be enough. I’m not saying about BEC for Germany after this point but I am saying they can definitely pull it off after this point

US oil would not come fast enough not to mention that had Operation Uranus failed the Germans would of invested to fortify the Caucasus to make it damn near impenetrable. Also it is likely if Operation Blue succeeded then a second attempt in taking Moscow would probably occur in 1943, whether or not it would succeed would be hard to say but it would force Soviet priority to go there meaning they would not be taking Caucasus or Ukraine back anytime soon. Not to mention that the Soviets may face an economic collapse by mid 1943 considering how close it came to happening within even our own timeline.

@thetommies1323 Germany's manpower shortages actually wasn't becoming a major problem till 1943. The problem was they didn't have enough men for the tasks they were sometimes given. As German logistics became overstretched.

The Tommies not really. Their food supply problems were remedied by the capture of Ukraine, steel was ok due to trade with Sweden, Coal they actually had decent supply to begin with, and things like rubber they had as well. It mainly came down to food and oil the food problem was remedied when they took the Ukraine but as for the oil problem had to be remedied through taking the carcasses and holding that had the succeeded in accomplishing that objective it would’ve put Germany in its best position of winning due to it no longer suffering from major resource scarcity. Also you’re missing the point once the Soviet union collapses in Germany would no longer have an offense of war to fight it would simply just have to drain out the allies till they no longer want to fight which honestly I don’t believe would take long at the Soviet Union truly did collapse. Do US and Britain never wanted to risk full scale troops coming in and risking such a high amount of casualties this is why within their actual war strategy they wanted most of the Germans tied in the east that way on the yellow stick come they would face a much less severe resistance by the Germans if this option was no longer present on the table then it is possible that burn in America could seek peace with Germany under the conditions that certain countries like France, Belgium, and Norway would be free which hitter with more than likely except as he really had no interest in maintaining control of those nations as much as maintaining dominance of the resources in the Soviet union which at this point he now has.

The Tommies again Germany could’ve had sustained gain the nuclear bomb fairly early enough I do think at the end of the day America would’ve gone at first no matter what however just because Germany would not necessarily be able to make the bomb first doesn’t mean that they couldn’t make the bomb at all. And a timeline where the operation and Norway with a 1943 fails then that means they’re heavy water supply would still grant them the ability to continue research on atomic bomb production meaning that while the US would probably get the bombs first Germany probably would not be far behind and I could easily see them finishing it by the end of 1945. And at this point once were in both countries get a bomb then realistically The allies would no longer have an interest in prolonging a war that would easily escalate and 10 nuclear Armageddon.

The Tommies I said if Fall Blau succeeded as in take and hold the Caucasus. The Soviet Union was already on the verge of an economic collapse even within our own timeline meaning they could not handle much more strain economically speaking. Had the Caucasus completely fallen it would of been the breaking point. Not to mention if Blau succeeded in 1942, then 1943 would probably have the Germans attempt to take Moscow yet again meaning that a counter attack in the south is unlikely. And literally after the Soviets economically, it would only require a major political blow to end it and Moscow would be that blow. After that it is very likely that both the Soviet people and High command would lose confidence in Stalin making it where there would either a cue or revolt that would create further instability in the Soviet Union. With all of these factors, the Soviets would be forced to either sooth for peace or face complete collapse. And then after that, most of the troops in the east would be able to turn and fight the west. Comparing to Japan is pointless when Japan’s defeat was already assured. Germany on the other hand within this timeline would be at the height of its power. Bombing of Britain could resume in full force making it difficult to even keep British air fields protected. So again we are talking about a scenario where it would be difficult to damn near impossible for a land invasion to even happen for the allies. And again with good AA defenses, allies bombings including atomic bombings would be rendered useless.

@thetommies1323 Yes they did. The British only succeeded in our own timeline of cutting German supply due to German troops and defenses being overstretched. Also the Soviet government would not be in the position to do so. Germany had enough industrial might going for them to keep the fight going even after the Soviets fall. Also u forget that if Germany takes the AA line. Sweden would not have to trade by sea anymore. German production of U boats could resume with oil to fuel their industry. It would not blockade Britain but could stretch their navy slightly. Also by 1944 even in our own timeline, German production of V2 rockets made British arial defenses pointless. It would not be absurd that V2 rockets would be massed produced in this alternate timeline.
