  14.  @infocrypt  Also to note, Ukraine is not part of the USSR anymore as part of the agreement when the Soviet Union broke up, Ukraine would have full independence and autonomy as a separate nation. The ethic population isn’t relevant either as we have seen through men like Hitler how slippery of a slope that kind of logic is. Ukraine built its nationalism as a direct result of being antagonized by Russian forces. And nationalism is always going to increase if attempted successions or civil wars happen. It happened in the American and Russian civil war as well. Also I want to be clear I don’t condone many of Zelenski’s actions. While I do consider some of them justified given the situation both him and Ukraine were put in, I also acknowledge that plenty of bad was carried out by him. But once again, that doesn’t justify Russia’s actions as A. Putin is literally no better if not worse and B. Interfering with a civil war is just asking for that nation’s identity to hate and discriminate against anything associated with you. I mean do you think the USA wouldn’t had done the same if Britain and France sent troops to back the confederacy or take how the Soviets reacted to the aid the white army received. And as mentioned I would be more sympathetic for Donbas if their goal was actual independence instead of trading one ruler for another. Just saying as soon as we base ourselves justified for invading over a domestic issue, then that sets a very dangerous precedent. I doubt anyone would say we should invade Mexico over our issues with them or invade North Korea just because a Civil War started.
