Except that’s not how that works. You don’t get to invade another nation and then move the goal post as soon as they want back what was stolen from them

@dougtinsley1320 Maybe the fact they were having armed men go to the people’s home with the pallets. Also it’s just basic common sense that you don’t do a territory vote in war time.

@dougtinsley1320 The only reason they were getting shelled was because of the active insurgencies going on in those areas. I won’t condone it and Ukraine could of handled the situation a lot better. But that doesn’t give Russia the right to swoop in. It is on the people in those regions to win their independence, not try to have another nation do it for them. Especially when it’s trading one ruler for another.

@dougtinsley1320 I don’t condone war’s started by the west either. With the exception of the 911 incident, we should of left well enough alone. But the west’s past actions doesn’t change what Russia is doing now. And unlike the west Putin is willing to drag the rest of the world into this petty war. My opinion would be that a simple peace deal that would benefit both sides would be giving Russia the regions but in exchange, Ukraine gets to join NATO without Russian interference so that what happened here won’t again.

@dougtinsley1320 the terrorist leader was hiding in Afghanistan. I don’t condone the other actions, but again trying to justify Russia based on that is a slippery slope

@dougtinsley1320 I do. Unfortunately we made many mistakes within alliances for Cold War agendas. And I highly believe the mishandling of that led to many problems of America's involvement in the middle east. Getting out was probably the best thing we could of done, of course not in the pathetic way Biden did it.

@mattnewhouse1781 Russia being a nuclear power has nothing to do with it. Also no, Russia was already backing Ukrainian separatists. Ukraine knew quite clearly that Russia was siding against them. And so Ukraine did the next best thing, try to join NATO. Also Russia’s logic is truly remarkable. They don’t want to border NATO, so they invade the non NATO nation which if won would cause them to border multiple NATO nations and literally the invasion causes Sweden and Finland to join NATO meaning now a whole new NATO country borders them.
