@Dan0948 Trump wasn’t the one behind January 6th bud. So nice try.
2
@Dan0948 Also I don’t even recall mentioning Trump. So you’re point? What does Trump have anything to do with what Biden is doing now? Always the Democrat way to dodge their own shortcomings with whataboutisms. Sorry ain’t biting
2
Not really no. Right now, we need greater productions, not more “long term education” at the cost of hyper inflation and crippling debt
1
@brett1354 the debts are meaningful bud. You realize those loans will have to be paid back at some point, not to mention that inflation yes is happening and is already causing major problems. So why would u add fuel to an already near uncontrollable fire?
1
@brett1354 and there’s plenty that can be done to reduce or borderline stop inflation. One is to stop spending so much
1
@brett1354 until it can’t handle it. And a government in debt can only cover so much.
1
@brett1354 Major difference. 1. The US wasn’t trillions of dollars in debt back then. 2. The Depression was far more detrimental to the economy than anything we face now.
1
@brett1354 no really ain’t. Sorry basic rules of economics bud, you can’t just spend your way through every problem. Why do you think the value of the dollar keeps decreasing at such a high rate, why do you think Taxes are much higher? They’re for those reasons
1
@Dan0948 I’m at college rn. Dipshit. So no I don’t envy anyone. I only hold for the government to be financially responsible. Which it isnt. Contrary to people’s delusional outlooks, you can’t spend your way out of every problem.
1
@Dan0948 increased wages are quite meaningless when accounting for increased prices on everything. As for employment. You must live in a very different place than me. Employment has still been facing major shortages to this very day. I don’t deny people anything. But I won’t be there to give them a handout either. Part of college is responsibility, if they can’t handle that. They don’t belong going there.
1
@brett1354 Keynes wasn’t right. That stile is what got to high increased prices, hyper inflation, and constant streams of debt. And you only have to look at countries during the 30s that applied Keynes economics to see that it was quite self defeating up until world war 2.
1
@brett1354 I already do know the debt is there. And I do worry about it. Sorry u don’t get to be the arbiter to decide for me not to worry about the fact that we aren’t even paying with anything of real value and that we are likely spending with someone else’s money.
1
@brett1354 so you’re solution would be effectively put a socialist like economy? Like that worked so well last time, not. People stop spending when prices get bad which typically happens as a result of inflation and debt. The more the government throws in the system, the more things will be charged. Which will be damaging to the daily consumers.
1
@brett1354 really how so? Explain how I can’t make a purchase without involving someone else’s money? 😂
1
@brett1354 Once again it really won't. Also you mentioned purchases, not taxes. And things such as plumbing, electric are universal necessities. Covering someone else's debt isn't. And human capital hasn't been a worth wild investment when many of the degrees people in colleges go for won't even help. Sorry paying a gender studies degree ain't going to be aiding society. Once again, if they cannot be responsible over their own debts, they don't belong going to college. Especially when rn, we are running on employee shortages and a lack of trade school students.
1
@Dan0948 I don't think it takes a rocket scientist to tell the difference between taxpayer money going to public services that has a direct benefit for everyone involved, vs taxpayer money going to cover someone else's poor financial decisions. So nice try at a strawman argument. You cannot use the fact that the government pays for anything to justify them paying for everything. That is a ridiculous notion.
1
@Dan0948 Once again, I already explained there is a major difference between paying taxes used to fund public services that have an equal or near equal benefit towards everyone. Vs effectively stealing other people's money because some folks can't or won't be financially responsible. Whether you realize it or not, you are feeding into the problem of why colleges have become so expensive in the first place which does damage to myself and many like me who actually do pay for our own college.
1
@Dan0948 If you are referring to K-12, then yes it is fine. Because those are children who are not in a stage, maturity wise, physically, mentally, or even legally able to take care of themselves yet. It is the same reason why children are not allowed in the work force. However from the moment you hit 18 years old, you are an adult and from that point are responsible for yourself. Anyone who tries to help them should do so from their own choice, not because they were mandated by the government to do so.
1
@Dan0948 This question is relevant how? Do you not know how to contain you’re arguments to the topic at hand? I could ask a similar question. Do you fancy yourself as a Communist?
1
@Dan0948 oh wow, real mature.
1
@Dan0948 oh wow, you’re waiting for a metal? 😂 Also that didn’t answer my question
1
How about a simple answer. People not wanting to pay tax money to bail u from ur poor financial decisions?
1
@heyaisdabomb this notion has been disproven many times in history. Capitalism in its purist form sees the rich and poorer get richer. Also greed is human nature bud. No government or economic system is going to completely purge it
1
@Dan0948 Russia and China will gain financial superiority when we just keep spending to the ground. A society dependent on its government to receive the means to survive is the one way ticket to tyranny.
1
@Dan0948 oh wow what a come back
1
@Dan0948 I see you’re resorting to gaslighting and slander now
1
@Dan0948 Is Trump associated insults the only response you know how to do? 😂 Like really man, it’s honestly quite pathetic
1
@Dan0948 more gaslighting and slander I see
1
@Dan0948 once again, is Trump the only insult you know how to do? 😂 Get out of here troll. You’re adding nothing
