  2.  @akindelebankole8080  one a pregnancy isn’t parasitic, it’s usually a form of mutualism. Secondly, I would not call it self defense to kill a child that they themselves created and that child is only where he or she is because of the mother and father screwing around. Obviously there are anomaly cases such as rape but I’m not even going to go there till after we get passed majority cases. Not to mention self defense would also imply that the child is some threat. Clearly not since by design, he or she is exactly where they are supposed to be. The pregnancy was at least to some extent accepted by the mother from the moment she decided to do the thing that would directly lead to her pregnancy, again by design.

The only time I have been in favor of the death penalty is when the convict has taken the life of another through murder or when an act of extreme cruelty is exercised. "However, is you choose not to impose death penalty on the rapists, what lesson are you teaching the child of rape about how to be with women in future?" - Once again, castration is an option. "Would it not be teaching the child that rape is okay?" - Ignoring that years of jail is an option and castration I would argue no. Even if we ruled out the death penalty which I don't completely.

  5. Also you are aware that abortion was specifically promoted in the US originally to lower the black population. So I don’t think opposing it is exactly a racist thing at all, quite the contrary. Means the unborn blacks can’t be persecuted. Neither can killing someone based on sex.

First those on life support is an example, another are those with artificial hearts, or those in comas. By condoning the termination of a Fetus not viable, you are also condoning these individuals to due as well. After all none of them are viable either. And those are some of the most straightforward examples, take a newborn. They are not technically viable, you leave him or her in a house for 5 days by themself, him or her will die. There actually are mothers who mourn even when miscarriages happen. And as mentioned, emotional response does not change scientific basis.

  13.  @zumazuma568  once again I’m against such an act in a lab as well. Also as mentioned, trying to use ignorance isn’t a basis. Also many people even after birth don’t get funerals. Again that’s subjective value, not objective on whether they are a valid human being. But if I lost an unborn child before making it to term I would mourn for him or her and likely I would likely commit an action of honoring him or her.

But let’s put that logic to the test, if I was in an emergency where I could only save my mother or your mother, I am saving my mother. If I was in a position where I’d have to choose between both your parents vs my mother, I’m saving my mother. That doesn’t mean your parents hold no intrinsic value. The more accurate comparison would be you see a zygote on the ground you can either choose to step on it and kill it or you can choose not to step on it. Or maybe just do away with the hypotheticals all together, and stop being inconsistent.

Second Fetus is literally Latin for Unborn baby. By definition a fetus and baby are the same. It’s just one is unborn while the other is born. It’s not to say none are but it’s quite dishonest to try to suggest the entire religious community is like that based on a few bad apples. The scientific basis in which a new life begins is conception given that is the point that a completely new genetic code independent of the mother or father is created. Basically it’s when the development starts. There’s is plenty of non religious reasons to oppose abortion. And the fact of the matter is, basing your logic on whataboutisms is a slippery slope at best. Contraceptions, gay marriage, etc are entirely separate issues and where we stand on that can be different from abortion.
