  20. U realize that is simply not true for 2 reasons. 1. Most pro life members are fine with an exception being made in service of saving the mother’s life. Very few don’t make this exception. 2. U have less than a .02% chance of dying in childbirth. In fact statistics shown that combining USA, UK, and Canada together. Only 1/3500 die in childbirth which is a drop in the ocean.

Secondly there’s a difference between refusing to help someone that’s completely disconnected to you versus refusing to help someone that you are directly responsible for. That is an invalid argument. Also it is not about punishing people who take risks as it stated by most pro-life members that I agree with that the mother would not be punished for an abortion procedure but rather the doctor that performs it. The mother would have a simple responsibility, carry the baby to full-term and then after that may decide to either keep it or give it up to adoption.

Also I am not arguing whether or not it is legal rn. That is a obvious answer for now. But just because it is legal does not make it morally correct. There were many things that were legal. (Slavery, genocide, racism, sexism) that were obhorant and morally wrong. Also no the death penalty does not classify as murder as it is clear within almost every social contract that when you commit crime that you are forfeiting your rights adherent to that country. Self defense is not murder as it was not premeditated. And being the aggressor within most wars is a case of murder since you are starting the conflict knowing that it will lead to that death. There are exceptions to this but this is the general example.

Also your argument on stating the problems they may face after birth is not an excuse. As one evil does not justify the committing of a greater evil. On top of that it is not our place to decide for the baby/child whether or not it wants to live. That is a choice it makes for itself.

  191.  @mariec3733  I mean simple ones include financial aid for single parents, increasing the accountability of child support, perhaps increase contraception accessibility, increase sex Ed education, etc. also nowhere did I claim making it illegal was going to completely stop it.
