What is ignored however these were only provided to businesses in cooperation to the state. Many businesses that didn't cooperate were shut down or taken over by party officials. Junkers is a good example.

@al2362 Yes people close to the party, the same way people close in the Soviet inner circle could get away with a lot as well. I am not going to deny the corruption in there and Hitler often overlooked it because he needed them to help with building up to the war effort.

@TimeGhost Except the problem is comparisons are part of the conclusions when pointing things out. This is the thing, If someone like Stalin, Lenin, or Mao did the same kind of actions people claim were the reason Hitler wasn’t a socialist then by that logic they weren’t socialists either and at that point the very concept of trying to define socialism would devoid itself.

Members that opposed or could oppose Hitler were purged. Capitalists were killed by Hitler as well.

That implies socialism doesn’t typically tend to be criminal when it’s stealing I mean “redistributing” wealth.

@rodgerbane3825 Hitler yes did need the larger industrialists considering his buildup to war. However his support of these industrialists led the state to shut down or expropriate many smaller businesses for the primary reason Hitler viewed 13 or so corporations far more easier to incorporate into the state and to control them than 100 if not 1000s of smaller businesses with individual goals. U also have to look at what the left at the time was mainly composed of. That’s right, Marxists. And Hitler openly rejected Marxism as a corrupted socialism
