  47.  @ilonaharutyunyan511  "Im not "attempting to dehumanize' anything. A fetus is considered human at about 16 weeks from conception." Really? Which source? Why at 16 weeks? What constitutes it being considered a human being at 16 weeks? "A fetus feels some sort of pain at about 20 weeks." Ok. in a decent amount of states, abortion is legal after 20 weeks. "An average women gets an abortion at 4-8 weeks." IDC what the average date is, that is not the point. The fact is, it is allowed after that point. What kind of argument is that? That would be like making stealing legal and saying "oh the average american does not steal." the fact it is even allowed is a problem. "So no, I'm not "dehumanizing' a fetus. To me, there is no such thing as " pro-life'. There is pro-birth." Hey buddy, use the dictionary, they pretty much mean the same thing. Also u do not get to decide what there is and no such thing as for a word with a dictionary meaning. "here are about 140 million orphans worldwide." We don't control the world, we only control the USA. So do not try to use extreme arguments that aren't relevant within our own governing policies. "If you care that much, go save a life from there instead of harassing women for making a mistake." First off, I plan to adopt when I get older, but even if I didn't, u are now relying on a strawman argument. By ur logic, ur saying I am now obligated to take care of someone just because I am defending their right to live? Let me ask you when u see someone injured about to die, if u run them to the hospital and they recover there, r u now responsible to feed him, cloth him, and give him a place to live? Do I have to pay money to keep someone from being shot? Also you clearly don't know what harassment is given that I never recalled working to change law due to scientific fact was ever considered harassment. Debate is not harassment. Us beating a woman for making the wrong choice would be harassment. Following a woman after a debate to reprimand her would be harassment. Do research before commenting.

  73. Dacia Fortier again we are all clumps of cells. Just more developed ones. Don’t attempt to dehumanize it just because of its development. Also I disagree, u brought up a move point with mother’s having says over the children after birth but absolutely none of them include the prospect of killing them. If a mother after her new born child literally minutes after birth decided to grab a knife and stab said child, she would be arrested rightfully so for homicide. So no she does not have ultimate say as the decisions she makes cannot go against the interest of the safety of the child not to mention conflicting interest of the father. After all it takes 2 to tango. Why should mothers alone have a bail out by literally being allowed to kill her unborn child but then if she keeps it and the father does not want it, he is held accountable for child support. It’s hypocrisy. The simple basis is to ensure parents uphold both of their responsibilities to that child at the very least till it can be passed to someone else. The child did not ask to be in the position it’s in. Why should they receive a death sentence for simply existing. Is existence a crime? Also for most with the exception of rape, mothers know what they r getting into whenever having sexual intercourse. They know the risk. So even taking away physical responsibility, what about moral responsibility? Do we devalue human life so badly that we should consider 15 minutes of pleasure worth more than the life, potential, and future of a child? A separate human being with a destiny that we are denying him or her by killing them? For something that is no crime? Existing? Is that worth it to u? Because that’s what it comes down to. If parents knew to be responsible and keep it in the pants or at least use proper protection, then this wouldn’t be an issue.

  114.  @sakurasaku3408  "I thought you didnt know. Please come back after having many different experiences in your life ( please wait ,at least till you get your third job or marriage for example or come back to me when you become 45 years old or so ). " - Hahahahahahahahahaha, what does that have to do with Abortion? "1,I dont want to debate or argue with someone who is into games and manga.( especially if you are older than college student )" - 2 things, one I am 19, secondly that is hypocritical, u want me to be older with some experiences and then u say I am too old. Make up ur mind. "2, I dont want to debate or argue with someone who is much younger ,having no serious experiences or without education ( not talking about high school or college )." - Um where else would u get education during college years? Also again contradiction, how can I be too old and too young? Make up ur mind. Also I do not care if u want to argue or not, the points are valid. The points and facts are what matter, not the person saying them. Leave ur dumb identity politics out of it. "3, If I do , I would chose a person who has high education , high intelligent and has experiences." - so basically that makes me 2/3 of what u ideally want. Um that seems pretty reasonable. Also again, part of the debate is to learn the other perspective. How am I suppose to sympathize or even understand ur logic if u let ur ego make u believe that u r beyond discussion and debate? "4, It wont be fair to you ." - Sure it will. If I don't cut for someone highly intelligent, education, or with experience, then I should not be difficult to beat. Yet u r the one running from the debate. "with Love, take care and have a wonderful new week ." - u too, just actually partake in discussion. It helps us both out. Understanding the other side is going to be impossible unless debates happen to where we can learn from each other our outlooks.

  180. This is honestly hilarious. Whether or not u have emotion does not determine ur worth as a human being. Also we are all mountains of cells. "killing a human being with emotions that might be falsely accused of a crime." Technology has made that virtually impossible not to mention death penalty is not given out in cases with questionable or slight evidence. Category 2: Invalid. "(if rightfully accused) killing someone bc apparently murder is a crime, but when you have the right reason to kill someone, it’s fine." U are not killing the person, the government is killing the person based on one of the highest violations of the social contract something that is required to accept in order to be a US citizen. One of which is if u violate the rights and especially lives of others, u forfeit ur rights and in most severe cases ur right to live. Category 2: Invalid. "i also agree with what that one women in the beginning said, if you’ve got an actual murderer on your hands there might either be ways to rehabilitate them or (if their genuinely disturbed and show no remorse etc) giving them a life long sentence will be a way worse punishment than putting them on an electric chair and just ending it right there." That is a subjective opinion and doesn't hold merit without the context of the murderer in question not to mention, it has been proven that the families of those they lost reach far worse closure and borderline anger in the prospect of the killer being both alive and cared for which may drive some of these families to do the dirty work themselves. Which if proper justice was not held against the murderer then much of the Jury could do sympathy votes for said families. At the end of the day, the death penalty not being allowed not only is not practical but cheapens the value of life. Considering no punishment is truly permanent than death. Category 3: Irellevant.

  196.  @gilayahmcintosh8766  "to answer your question, it does not equate the same. Usually when a child that’s walking this earth is killed it hurts the parents and the family. But if the mother is choosing to terminate the pregnancy there is most likely emotional pain at all. And the only people who are upset are the people who has nothing to do with her decision." Too an extent yes, except as of right now, not even family members or even the father can legally stop her. So there are still basis of those getting upset over a decision that may affect them. Also the other problem with this is that it would insert that the child being wanted determines their worth as a human being, implying the notion that killing a 6 year old would be fine if no one wanted said 6 year old. I doubt u intended this outcome, but this is a gap within ur logic. "Also I never meant or said that pro-lifers are stupid. And I am sorry if it came off that way." I appreciate your apology and I will also apologize if I came across as aggressive to you. "Also back to my point about abortion still happening. pro- lifers are all about life but by making abortion not safe the death rates will double because unsafe abortions will most likely kill the more with the baby." This retreats back to my previous statement. America has offered enough alternatives to negate the need for abortion and I myself advocate for even more to be done. Now with this basis, not to sound cold. But there is a point where sympathy does end when they are willing to risk their own life just to kill their offspring. So even in a scenario where it did not create the desired results, it wouldn't change my mind because it is about the principle as well. Even though like I said, there is enough evidence that making abortion illegal would not have such drastic effects in the US or any first world country for that matter. And honestly, making abortion illegal would more than likely decrease pregnancy rates as it would force couples to either reconsider their sexual actions or at the very least take far more precautions. Did u know as of right now, statistics show that 46% of women that do abortions admit to not using any birth control or contraceptives and even within the 54% that did, many did not use them correctly or consistently. "And maybe I haven’t thought of everything but this is my belief and I stand by it. Think what you want and I will do the same. Clearly neither of us are convincing which is right so can we just shake hands and call it a day? This is to of being redundant and pointless." If u wish to do so yes. But if u wish to have this political war end, these discussions are the way to do it. Contrary to what u may think. I have no aggressive intentions to use against u because u actually remind me much of my younger self. So please understand that my positioning is to have u understand what took me too long to figure out on my own. Again the question needs to be brought up why 15 minutes of pleasure is worth the life of an entirely new human being. Because that is what it comes down too. Take many of the European countries that have more welfare and social safety nets than most yet even their abortions do not stop because the excuses done to justify it aren't the reasons for people wanting it. It is more often than not because they want engage freely in sexual intercourse without the risk of any consequence. I am not saying this is ur reason. But it is the primary drive for the majority of pro choice whether they realize it or not. Why do u think people say when they are scared of having their girlfriends pregnant after sex that they feel good having abortion as an option. Because they do not want that responsibility that comes with sexual intercourse. Ironically this is also why more men are pro choice and more women are pro life according to 2019 poll statistics.

  215.  @marart926  "I never said a fetus did not have living cells, but it cant live until it becomes a baby." U mean live independently. But as we already discussed, u cannot judge it based on viability without condemning other people to the same principle. Category 2: Invalid "what's a baby. A human with an independent body, whereas a fetus, clump of cells, is dependent inside and attached, therefore is part of a woman's, not alive with rights." Baby definition: a very young child, especially one newly or recently born. Nowhere does it mention an independent body. Why? Because it already has a seperate body. It is just not a body that can survive on its own. Also yes it is alive. U cannot say it is dependent to be alive and then a sentence later not call it alive. That is contradicting. Also ironically it does have rights considering in some states, a man can be charged with homicide for punching a pregnant woman in the gut and causing a miscarriage meaning even the government recognizes the unborn child as a separate human being. Category 2: Invalid. "I can debate more if you want but I won't play the circular reasoning game. Sorry if I didn't explain clearly in my posts about my side of the debate. I'm not really arguing but I like to read and listen to what ppl think even though it's a controversial topic." "I'm pro choice. Ppl are against the death penalty because ppl dont want the government to control life and death. I personally think ppl should have life and death over themselves that includes a fetus. That's why its CHOICE." Nowhere does it say u didn't want people to argue with u on the matter. Also I am sorry but if u comment in a controversial video on a controversial topic then u should more than prepared for counter arguments. That is the point of comment threads. And at the end of the day this is an argument u have now chosen to partake in. I appreciate the respect u have given me and I would like to believe I am doing the same for u which is why I am not resorting to insults. But I will say based on the previous statements above, u are being intellectually dishonest and u are falling into a lot of logical gaps. Which is not ur fault. Every pro choice member falls into that. Its why I want to make it clear, I am not coming at u from a position of malice but from a position of desperation for u to see pass what the left has lied to u about. Since I won't lie. I once bought into them. I use to be a pro choice member when I was younger. So understand, the arguments u are trying to make against me are almost the same as the arguments I once used. I'm sorry but sometimes it takes learning lessons the hard way to realize that killing innocence for convenience is morally wrong. Trust me, I took a while to learn that. So spare ur self from the time I had to take. I can't force u to value something. But u need to at least understand and accept what an abortion actually is. It is not a passive medical procedure done to protect woman's bodies in 99% of cases. It is a procedure that kills for lifestyle convenience and if u think about it actually devalues women more than a pro life stance ever could.
