  1. I think the issue of states rights hasn't been resolved either. Fact of the matter is I question if the President and Congress even has any respect for things like the 10th amendment anymore.

  6. They won’t launch nukes because no matter what someone on our end will still hold the button to fire them back. However they will likely take expansions effort in Europe and Asia with the US no longer there to contain them.

  7. Aside from the abortion bit I mostly agree with you. I also find that government should decentralize its power to more of a local level. There's more of a connection when your leaders are actually people many know on a personal level rather than someone who is effectively on the other side of a continent. The fact that the 10th amendment has all but been ignored in the modern age speaks to just how bad the federal government has gained control and influence over everything.

  8.  @Jaimob  ok let’s see. Individual rights were suppressed by Lincoln during wartime, Lincoln was still in some areas racist, I mean being part of the US is pro democracy. And Lincoln was in high favor of protective tariffs. So not really no.
