  1. I think the issue of states rights hasn't been resolved either. Fact of the matter is I question if the President and Congress even has any respect for things like the 10th amendment anymore.

  3. Aside from the abortion bit I mostly agree with you. I also find that government should decentralize its power to more of a local level. There's more of a connection when your leaders are actually people many know on a personal level rather than someone who is effectively on the other side of a continent. The fact that the 10th amendment has all but been ignored in the modern age speaks to just how bad the federal government has gained control and influence over everything.
