  1. War is war, deaths are going to happen no matter what within it. More importantly, Lee was granted amnesty by Lincoln.

  2. You aware Lee didn’t condone any of those things within combat. The fact you can’t grasp this shows a clear agenda on your part.

  3.  @alanbrooks2237  Suffering is an unfortunate consequence of war and the hurt it caused the south is only noted with the benefit of hindsight and the fact they lost. Also both technically got passes as Lincoln gave every member of the CSA amnesty under the condition they never took up arms or called upon such arms to be taken against the Union ever again.
